FESTIVAL MAIN STAGE MIDDLELANDS CASTLE NORTHWOODS
When Insomniac approached Vita Motus to create the main stage for their inaugural Middlelands Festival, Vita Motus worked with SJ Lighting to create an iconic and lasting design, merging the old with the new, to serve as the face of the festival for years to come.
The sculpture at center stage is the core of an architectural castle, in the shape of a knight’s helmet with vertical spires resembling a king’s crown. The LED “cheeks“ of the knight’s helmet jut in a sinister angle and behind the open helmet is a wall of low resolution Nexus lighting panels offering an illuminated futuristic look to the eyes and nose. The blend of scenic and LED can be thematically charged with large epic looks.
