AWARD STAGE PIN DUO DUO 6.18

Continuing efforts to help the industry adapt to current challenges, Vita Motus was commissioned by Pin Duo Duo for their awards show broadcast to create a stage design inspired by nature and symbiosis, as well as a fully socially distanced live studio audience.

The crescent shaped stage had 2,588 square meters of LED floor tiles and featured a sculpture of the Pin Duo Duo logo formed by multi-level sets of stairs. An 11m sculptural tree is centered on stage right whose leaves take the form of a flock of 795 birds in 3 variations of flight. The curved upstage wall is flanked by 8m high transparent LED walls, with dynamic light walls behind.

This design was fully optimized for projection mapping, featuring augmented reality overlays and effects throughout the broadcast. The audience was seated in individual spaced circular swings, allowing for a safe, socially distanced audience experience.
