Infected Mushroom_ Army of Mushrooms Tour_ 2012/13 - This dynamic set was technically designed and specifically engineered for non-traditional projection mapping as its forced perspective lines are intended to accentuate 3-dimensional forms.

CONCEPT | Vita Motus Design Studio designed, produced and fabricated the 2012 Infected Mushroom Touring Stage Experience.  The architectural intent of the Infected Mushroom stage is a futuristic sculpture that visually reflects the forward thinking and innovative roots of the band.  The exploded pieces that make up the sphere appear to be floating and weightless: which in essence, reflects the psychedelic, wild-style of the band.  These sculptures function as individual performance pods in a variation of shapes and sizes to accommodate the artists and their activity within.  The set was technically designed and engineered for non-traditional projection mapping, and its forced perspective are intended to accentuate 3-dimensional forms.  This effect and audience experience is mind-blowing as fans are immersed in the colorful and energetic world of Infected Mushroom.  Animations fill the architecture in a constant state of motion that moves with the rhythm of the music.
DELIVERABLES | The client came to Vita Motus to design them a stage where they could perform inside of two spheres. The challenge was to make the spheres read as a 3d dimensional objects, and to re-make the simple sphere.. into a sculpture that had never been seen before.
