FESTIVAL STAGE EDC BASSPOD DIRTY ROBOTS
Vita Motus was commissioned by Insomniac to design the EDC Basspod Stage in Las Vegas, also known as the Bassrush Stage. The concept was a fleet of sci-fi dirty robots, seven vessels that traveled to space, only to return years later marked by its journey.
We wanted to create something that offered a sense of timelessness, at the same time aligned with the Bassrush identity. Each piece was created to hold its force as a stand-alone piece, which only heightened its sense of power as a group. Ultimately the Basspod Stage brought new heights to the entire festival experience with its 360 futurist stage design. LA Weekly would agree, voting us the best stage at EDC 2015.
In the second year of our Basspod stage design, Vita Motus amplified the Mother Robot with fire and water features, as well as curating new media, and expanded on the already huge lighting elements.
