FESTIVAL MAIN STAGE SOUNDSTORM BIG BEAST 2024

For Soundstorm 2024, Vita Motus redefined the limits of stage design with Big Beast, an awe-inspiring structure that pushed the boundaries of scale, visual impact, and immersive experience.

Spanning 160 meters wide and soaring 34 meters high, Big Beast was a monolithic presence in the desert, integrating the world’s largest continuous LED wall at 5,000 square meters. The floating stage effect—achieved through cantilevered layers and a custom perforated metal skin—created a striking interplay of weightlessness and transparency, enhanced by 2,300 meters of DMX-controlled LED strips.

Inspired by Soundstorm’s gamified aesthetic, the design played with digital surrealism, incorporating hyper-realistic landscapes that glitched into pixelated 8-bit visuals, reflecting the festival’s fusion of the virtual and the real. From daylight to deep night, Big Beast transformed with shifting light and video compositions, creating a dynamic spectacle at every moment.

Big Beast was more than a stage—it was an architectural feat that cemented itself as a defining symbol of Soundstorm’s innovation, setting a new benchmark for what a live music experience can be.
